BLU FOUND

Blu escaped from his home-kennel in Sanford on March 1 and was trapped on April 28, about 10 miles from his home, in Lebanon ME. His Dad was beside himself with worry. With the help the 501c3 volunteer organization, Maine Lost Dog Recovery, and with the help from friends and neighbors reporting their sightings, the family were able to get Blu back. Traps were set in areas in which he was seen.

Having so many people aware of this sweet dogs situation and having so many sightings of him, made all the difference in his capture.

When Blu returned to his home, he sat happily his Dads lap: he’s missed his dad.

The vet found that Blu weighed 16 pounds , and down only 2 pounds from when his previous vet visit. He had a 4dx test for Heartworm, Lyme, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichia. Good news is he tested negative for Heartworm and Ehrlichia; bad news is he was positive for Lyme and Anaplasmosis. The vet put Blu on Doxycycline for 30 days.

He is now happily at home, bathed, with good food, a warm bed and a lap to curl up in. He is well on his road to recovery.

The family is very appreciative of  MLDR. and all the volunteers.
